sant jordi

April 27, 2017

Last week I hopped on a flight to Spain to experience my first festival of roses in Barcelona. Sant Jordi, also known as Day of the Rose, is a Catalonian festival that celebrates beauty and love. The festival has a long held tradition rooted in a rose and book exchange among loved ones. The streets of La Rambla are filled with florals, and crowds of people rush to book vendors who set up shop for Catalonia’s version of Valentine’s Day. But unlike our Valentine’s Day, the holiday is steeped in tradition that focuses on community and culture. On our Sunday in Barcelona, we witnessed  the city come together for an afternoon under the Spanish sun.

You can celebrate Sant Jordi with Nature Bisse by visiting your local Bergdorf Goodman or Barneys New York, where a special edition “Diamond Extreme” is exclusively packaged to honor Catalonia’s dia de bellesa.
