trinidad + tobago diary

July 8, 2016

I’ve never been a fan of the tourist populated islands of the Caribbean, so when El Camino tapped me on the shoulder to visit the twin island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, I was immediately drawn in. We uncovered a week along the unspoiled coastline, immersing in the local cuisine inspired by a rich and storied diversity, while encountering heaps of wildlife along the way.

The view from our beach front villa at Castara Beach.
One of the highlights of my trip: Witnessing dolphins racing into the sunset.
On of our coastal pit stops for lunch.
Waded through crystal clear waterfalls in the jungle.

Effervescent light at dusk.
Crystal clear waters in No Man’s Land. Walking along the city walls to grab a vantage point of the city.
