Ask anyone at fashion week, and the latest word on the street is “Have you heard of Vestiaire Collective?” Usually followed by an excited, “Yeah! I just picked up this amazing coat / bag / pair of boots from there.” And if you haven’t heard of Vestiaire Collective, then let me happily introduce you. Vestiaire Collective is a designer re-sell site with the best inventory I have ever seen. They sell everything from current season Céline, the it-bag by Chloe and all those past season favorites you may have missed from seasons past. There have been several occasions where I’ve picked up a one of a kind, showroom sample from The Row, sold out Chloé sandals I’d been eyeing since spring, and a classically tailored J.W. Anderson blouse – and justifiably priced under retail value.
On my latest site stalk, I picked up a classic cut, silky slip dress from Gucci, paired it with a Stella McCartney Coat and pearl-studded Chanel mules that I picked up on this trip to Paris. Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something tried and true.
